Vintage restored hand-forged bearded axe with handle.
Dear buyers, up for auction is that vintage hand-forged bearded axe with a handle.
It is restored by me. You can see in the last photo how it looks before restoration.
The handle is not wedged – it is tapered type or so cold “slip-fit”.
Region of origin East Europe.
Forged approximately 1950’s
Used for general purposes – chopping and splitting.
The axe eye is “D” shaped.
The connection between the axe eye and the handle is so cold “slip fit”. No need to be wedged.
It is traditional for the axes here in East Europe.
Old “bearded”, “Viking” design.
Old good communist steel.
Perfect restored condition!
The edge is not worn. There are no cracks or chips on the edge of the eye.
It was reshaped and sharpened on a very low-speed grinder and the temper is excellent.
The head is cleaned and brushed.
The edge is restored by me. It is sharp!
The handle is Austrian Beechwood.

It is ready for use and will serve you for years!!!
