Lochaber Legacy Battle Axe

The Lochaber ax was first mentioned in 1501 as “the old Scottish ax from the Lochaber faun battle.” The Lohaber ax went through many incarnations, and they all had several elements in common. It was a heavy weapon that the infantry used to defend against cavalry and as a lance against infantry.
In hand-to-hand combat, the ax, like other polearms such as the halberd, has a point at the end that can be used in close combat with thrusting movements.
